Hello, My name is Mrs.Calero. I have been a teacher at Forest Creek Elementary in Sunnyville, California for eight years, I have taught Kindergarten through fifth grade, and I am currently a third grade teacher, and I love it.
When I graduated from High School I thought of becoming a Marine Biologist, however, I later married my husband who at the time was a principal at an Elementary school. I noticed how much he loved the atmosphere and working with children, which inspired to become an Elementary School teacher.
Having taught my students everything from coloring in between the lines, to being able to do long division, I have always had a passion within me to teach others, no matter their ages. There are many different teaching styles that I enjoy, I explore in my classroom the different types of styles, and accommodate each one of my students to what helps them learn best.
I believe that a child learns best when he or she has been taught to have confidence that they can do what they set their minds too, that is the attitude that I believe it, and it is the atmosphere that I enjoy teaching in.
""People who regard themselves as highly efficacious act, think, and feel differently from those who perceive themselves as inefficacious. They produce their own future, rather than simply foretell it." Albert Bandura" The Self-Efficiency theory is how a student portrays him or herself in their academics, as well as in many other aspects. This is a very important part of the child's growth, mentally and emotionally, and as teachers, educators, and parents, we need to be able to provide our children with the proper support so they are able to believe in themselves and succeed.
