Throughout the lessons that I have created on my own, I have to say that I do learn as I watch my students grow.
Using the technology that we are lucky to have today, I do enjoy taking the "traditional" teaching to another level, meaning I utilize technology to our advantage.
Students learn when they are engaged, my third graders love to sing along, during a math lesson, I will start them off with the first few lines of the song, and they finish it, while I have the song playing as the background through my computer. My students have learned their multiplication tables so quickly by using this method, I love it, and they love it just as much.
I frequently get asked: "When are we going to sing?" as if it weren't an assignment!
To my student's this is an activity, a fun activity while they are learning their times tables
Learning multiplication tables as easy as singing "Row, Row, Row your boat"

What's the Matter?
After reading our science chapter on Matter, we have watched a video on the computer on what "oobleck" is.
Oobleck is a combination of corn starch and water, and if you'd like food coloring, my students wanted a blue oobleck, so I added two drops of blue food coloring.
My students will get the materials needed to make the Oobleck, and we will get our hands on it to identify what state of matter oobleck is. After we are finished with the Oobleck, I have this assignment on the board, each student may come up and answer a question by using the mimio-pad on the board.
